What The AI Floor is

A platform for AI fluency

How good do you actually need to be at using AI? What makes the difference between becoming 10% more productive and being paid 2X, 3X, 5X more? The key is becoming AI fluent — and like a language, fluency is built progressively: concepts, basics, skills.

Most of us have experimented with AI. Few of us know where we stand, or what it takes to get fluent. There’s no clear blueprint — just noise about the latest tools and prompts. So we spent a year building one: 1,500+ interviews with professionals and founders, deep reports, and the first proven AI fluency map.

The AI Floor is that map, live — a London collective with a shared ethos: we build together. Improve with AI, showcase what you’ve made, connect with the people and companies doing it best, and master the craft.

Improve · Showcase · Connect

Hands-on AI workshops, builder pitches, community

Improve

Discover what AI fluency means for your industry and role, train hands-on, and leave with a practical roadmap — specific next steps, not noise.

Showcase

Show what you’ve built with AI. Pitch it to the room in 3 minutes, live and on camera.

Connect

Facilitated networking with like-minded AI enthusiasts who are building and learning. A community that keeps going between events.

Powered by AISA

Know where you stand before you walk in

The AI Floor is powered by AISA, the conversational AI fluency assessment. Take it before your first event: a 20-minute chat, a full report of where you stand across 5 dimensions, and a personalised map of what to learn next. It’s free — and it makes the workshops land harder.

Questions

The practical bits

Is it really free?

Yes. No ticket price, no upsell at the door. We keep the room small (~50 people) so it stays useful — capacity is limited.

When is the next event?

The target is September at University College London, with the exact date being finalised. Claim a free ticket on Luma — capacity is limited — or join the email list to hear every announcement first.

Where in London?

The preliminary venue for the first event — a hands-on AI workshop in London’s Bloomsbury — is University College London on Gower Street. Each event announces its final venue to the list first.

Can I pitch my AI project?

Yes — builder pitches are part of every night. Three minutes, in front of the room, filmed so you can share it afterwards.

Do I need to be technical?

No. The floor is builders and beginners side by side — if you work with AI, or want to, you belong. Workshops are hands-on and adapted to mixed levels.
