Role-Specific Assessment

AI Skills Assessment by Role

A developer and a product manager both need AI skills, but the skills that matter are fundamentally different. AISA adapts its assessment focus, dimension weighting, and conversation topics to match each role. Same rubric. Different emphasis.

Every candidate is assessed across five dimensions: Prompting & Communication, Technical Understanding, Workflow & Application, Critical Thinking, and Safety & Responsibility. But the weight each dimension carries, and the conversation topics that surface evidence, shift based on role. A data scientist gets deeper technical probes; a PM gets harder questions about product scoping and vendor evaluation.

In 2026, Anthropic published the AI Fluency Index — the largest empirical study of AI fluency to date, analysing 9,830 conversations. AISA covers 93% of the behaviours Anthropic identified as markers of AI fluency and goes even deeper with 4 additional dimensions.Read our white paper: Anthropic's AI Fluency Study & AISA

AISA's framework is developed by a team with deep roots in tech, behavioural science, and AI product leadership — the rubric is informed by backgrounds spanning the Metropolitan Police, Harvard, Crowdbotics (Silicon Valley), and the European School of Economics.
